FISHING TOURNAMENT!

What a great time we had at the First UMC Fishing Tournament! Kids of all ages lined the bank with rods in hand — some brought their own, and  some borrowed gear furnished by our United Methodist Men, who also kept everyone stocked with bait all afternoon.

The competition was friendly but fierce as anglers under 16 vied for $10 gift certificates in three categories: Biggest Fish, Smallest Fish, and Most Fish Caught. Laughter, a few "almost got one!" stories, and plenty of proud photo-ops made good memories. 

When the rods came down, the fun moved to the firepit, where free hot dogs, chips, drinks, and all the fixin's kept everyone fed and fellowshipping late into the evening. Thanks to the United Methodist Men for sponsoring this fun, family-friendly community event — we can't wait for next year!
